Get Equipped for Advancing Well-Being at Your Organization
As part of the WellMD & WellPhD Center's goal to create transformative collaborations with other healthcare organizations, we provide educational opportunities to the medical professional community.
Our Chief Wellness Officer (CWO) Course offers an innovative and highly interactive one-week workshop for approximately 45 participants who are CWOs or in equivalent executive positions. The course's lectures, activities, and interactions are designed to help participants cultivate expertise in the principles and applications that contribute to physician well-being, drawing from the Stanford Model of Professional FulfillmentTM and the course faculty's extensive experience. Participants also develop customized strategic plans for their own organizations. This course is eligible for CME and MOC credit. Learn more >
The Physician Well-Being Directors Course is a six-week virtual program designed to equip physicians and physician-collaborators leading organization- and department-wide efforts at healthcare centers with fewer than 250 physicians. The goal of the course is to help Chiefs, Chairs, structural line leaders, medical directors, wellness committee leaders, quality improvement leaders, program improvement leaders, residency program directors and others to be the agents of change at their organizations. The WellMD & WellPhD Center co-sponsors the American Conference on Physician Health (ACPH), a biennial three-day scientific conference, through a collaboration with the American Medical Association (AMA) and the Mayo Clinic. Through a variety of interactive sessions and presentations, attendees learn best practices and tools to improve physician professional fulfillment and reduce burnout. Learn more >

Physician Wellness Academic Consortium
The Physician Wellness Academic Consortium (PWAC) is a self-funded, national cohort of academically-affiliated medical centers with a collective mission of driving innovative advancement of physician well-being. Using a validated, holistic survey and a growing benchmark database, PWAC facilitates longitudinal program evaluation and natural experiment studies of clinical provider wellness. PWAC Administrative Headquarters is located at the Stanford Medicine WellMD & WellPhD Center.
